“The absurd blends with the serious, the complex with the trivial, and big-picture ideas meet personal slices of reality.”

Directing

I kicked off my creative journey in the quirky world of the Berlin Fringe back in 2014, where I co-wrote performances blending autobiographical material with snippets of Berlin’s vibrant community. Along the way, I snagged some funding from Fonds Soziokultur (for under 25s - seems like a long time ago!). My other adventures with federspiel were all about taking classic tales & stories, giving them a playful feminist twist, and turning them into electrifying, modern-day dramas.

In 2018, I made the leap to the UK, where I trained as an actor at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Here, I found myself diving deeper into professional acting, collaborative writing, and devising (yes, you can find some of those projects here).

Now, I’ve graduated from RADA (MA Theatre Lab) in early 2025 and apart from my collaborative devising work, I’m ready to step into the world of professional directing. The future is looking bright - and I’m pretty excited about the possibilities!
